Peter Walker

BDS MFDS MSc

 

Peter is a Senior Dental Officer within the Public Dental Service of NHS Ayrshire and Arran.  

 

He has a special interest in Conscious Sedation in Dentistry and Endodontic Treatment having a masters in this.  In his current work Peter supports dentists in their undergraduate training.  He also treats patients with special needs including nervous patients and patients with additional needs.  

 

Peter worked for many years pervious to this role in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Senior Dental Officer at Stobhill Hospital.  

 

Peter lectures on sedation with NHS Education for Scotland and previously taught the sedation dental nurses SQA course.
 
Peter is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FGDP). He is a member of the Dental Sedation Teachers Group (DTSG) board and the representative for Glasgow.

 

Peter was part of the guidance development group for Scottish Dental Effectiveness Programme (SDCEP) for the Conscious Sedation Guidance.
